Conclusion:
Diffusely increased hepatic parenchymal echogenicity which is nonspecific but typical of
fatty infiltration and/or hepatocellular disease.
Clinical Context:
- Liver enzymes (AST/ALT) are currently normal (26/25 IU/L as of 01/16/2026), suggesting no active hepatocellular injury despite the imaging finding.
- History of elevated AST/ALT in Nov 2024 (62/95) which subsequently normalized, consistent with possible transient hepatic stress.
- Gallbladder polyp (3 mm) is below threshold for concern (<10 mm) but should be monitored on follow-up imaging.
- Kidneys, spleen, pancreas, aorta, and IVC all normal.
