Longitudinal significance — this is the baseline the 2026 study is measured against:

Liver echogenicity was normal in 2018. By the 02/17/2026 abdominal ultrasound it was diffusely increased — "nonspecific but typical of fatty infiltration and/or hepatocellular disease." The hepatic steatosis therefore developed (or became sonographically apparent) at some point between 2018 and 2026, rather than being lifelong.
The 3 mm gallbladder polyp is unchanged across ~7.5 years (3 mm in 2018 → 3 mm in 2026). Stability over this interval is strongly reassuring for a benign cholesterol polyp.
The stated indication includes anemia, which is worth noting: hemoglobin has since been in the normal range (13.4–14.1 g/dL across 2018–2026).
